Pre emergent
Goes into the soil and kills seeds as they germinate. It can only kill a seed that has germinate in the last several days. Once plant has matured past about 4-5 days the pre-emergent will no longer be able to kill it.
Which is why we combine pre and post-emergent on desert landscape treatments. One of the best things about pre-emergent is it stays in the first inch of the soil for up to a year and can keep weeds away for 6-8 months. |
Post emergent
Which is commonly referred to as weed killer. On a lawn we use a selective herbicide that will be able to kill your broadleaf weeds but not your perennial grass. |
Fertilizer
If your yard is getting adequate water but is still not thick and lush. It could be that your lawn is not getting the nutrients it needs to thrive. We can test your soil to determine what your lawn needs and then apply a fertilizer that will give your lawn what it is missing.
